Chipmunks Dance AI: Make It From Your Photos
Add your photos and AI makes the Alvin and the Chipmunks dance from TikTok with your faces in it. A photo each or one group photo, and the three of you take the row, the spin and the turns up front, in the clothes from your photos. Nobody has to learn a step.

The trend
What is the Alvin and the Chipmunks dance?
The Chipmunks Dance, also called the Alvin and the Chipmunks dance, is a three-person TikTok routine that took off in October 2026. Three people stand in a row with the one in the middle a step ahead, then they jump, swap places and take turns at the front of the group. It runs to a fast, high-pitched club edit of You Spin Me Round.
The Chipmunks Dance meme belongs to no one. There are no cartoon characters in it, just siblings, roommates and friends doing the same moves. The name comes from the casting: a trio is a trio, so the comments decide who is Alvin, who is Simon and who is Theodore, and posts get tagged #alvinandchipmunks. Around Halloween it turned into a group costume idea, with round ears and matching colors.
This site makes that video from your photos, for any three people who would rather not learn it. It is an independent tool and has no link to Alvin and the Chipmunks or its owners.

How the dance goes, move by move (stills from @jamestanner9 on TikTok)
1The row
Three in a line, arms crossed, feet apart. The one in the middle stands a step ahead and everyone stares down the camera.
2The jump
Arms go up, all three jump on the beat and land in new places.
3A new one up front
Someone else takes the middle with their legs wide and dances big while the other two keep the beat behind them.
4Turns at the camera
They keep trading the front spot, and one by one each dancer comes right up to the camera. Every group adds its own small variations.
On TikTok
The Chipmunks Dance trend on TikTok
Same sound, same row, a different trio every time: friends on a sidewalk, sisters on a tennis court, a group in round ears. If one of these is what sent you here, you are in the right place.
These are real people’s TikTok posts, credited to whoever posted them. They are not AI videos and we did not make them. Yours is generated fresh from your own photos, on the deck from the clip at the top of this page.
The sound
What song is the Chipmunks Dance?
It is You Spin Me Round (Like a Record), the 1984 Dead or Alive single, in a fast, high-pitched club edit.
The high voices sound like the chipmunks, and the link is an old one: the song is on the Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked dance game for the Wii.
Searching the title on TikTok will not always find it. The sound is listed as an original sound under the names of the people who uploaded it, so the quick way is to open one of the posts above and tap the sound. People tag these posts #youspinmeround and #youspinmerightround.
Your video keeps the sound from the clip at the top of this page. The song belongs to its artist and label, and we have no connection to either, so check what TikTok or Instagram allows when you post.
Casting
Who goes where in your Chipmunks Dance
All three dance the whole time, but the places differ. This is what each one does in the clip.

Starts in the middle
Opens up front
Stands a step ahead of the others at the start, then comes back up to the camera near the end. This place shows the face the most, so give it your sharpest photo.

Starts on the left
The spin
Goes up front first and turns with their back to the camera, then returns to the middle for the finish.

Starts on the right
One short turn
Takes one short turn at the front, then steps back beside the others.
Three steps
How to make a Chipmunks Dance AI video
Nobody needs to rehearse. The moves, the deck and the camera come from the clip, so your part is only the photos.
- 01
Add your trio
Give each of the three places its own photo, or switch to One group photo and add a single picture of the three of you. The routine is built on three places, so all three need someone in them.
- 02
Press Make our Chipmunks Dance
Tick the box to confirm you have the right to use the photos, then press the button. There is nothing to type and nothing to set up. Your photos and the tick stay put if you sign in or pay first.

The vertical video lands in My videos, ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Tag the other two, use #chipmunksdance and #alvinandchipmunks, and switch on the AI-generated label before you post.
Your photos

Which photos work best for the Chipmunks Dance AI template
The camera sees all three of you head to toe, then each of you comes close to it in turn. So the AI needs a sharp face and, if you have one, a full-length photo. It copies what it can see, so the clothes in the photo are the clothes in the video.

Face clear, good light
Try thisStand facing a window or a lamp, so the light falls on your face.Face in shadow

Try thisGet closer: head to toe should fill the frame.Too far away
Good to go
- One person per photo, or three side by side in a group photo
- Full length if you have it; waist-up works
- Faces sharp and turned to the camera
- Daylight or a bright room
Leave these out
- Small faces far away
- Sunglasses, masks or caps pulled low
- Heavy filters
- Faces turned away
Why here
Why make your Chipmunks Dance video here
Everyone in it is yours
All three places go to your people, so nobody from the original post is left standing next to you.
A photo each or one group photo
A photo each lets you decide who stands where. If all you have is one picture of the three of you, add that and it is cast left to right.
Your Chipmunks Dance costume comes too
Everyone wears what they wear in their photo. A trio in ears and matching colors stays that way, and so does a work shirt or a hoodie.
Your photos, your call
Your photos stay with your video, so you can see who took which place, and they are deleted when you delete it. A failed render goes back to your account on its own.

Good questions
Chipmunks Dance FAQ
Do we need all three people?
Yes. The Chipmunks Dance is built on three places, so each one needs a photo: three separate photos, or one group photo of the three of you.
Do I need an app or a Chipmunks Dance template?
Neither. There is nothing to install and no template to edit: the routine and the scene are already set up here. Add your photos, tick the box and press the button, all from your phone’s browser.
Is this official?
No. Nothing connects this site, or the TikTok trend, to the people behind Alvin and the Chipmunks, to the song’s artist or label, or to the creators who post the dance. You will not find official characters here. When you share your video, mark it as AI-made.
How long is the video, and how long does it take?
The video runs about 15 seconds: the row, the spin and everyone’s turn up front. Most are ready in 5 to 10 minutes. You can close the page; the video waits in My videos and we email you when it is done. There is no watermark from us.
Who stands where in our group photo?
Left to right, the people in your group photo take the left, middle and right places. With more than three in the picture, the three biggest faces go in. If you want to choose, switch to A photo each and give every place its own photo.
What if a face does not look right?
It is usually the photo. Use one where the face is sharp, front-on and well lit, with no sunglasses or filter. Each dancer comes close to the camera at some point, so a small or blurry face shows. If a video fails, it goes back to your account.
What is the difference between Standard and HD?
Both make the same Chipmunks Dance: same moves, same deck, same sound. Standard renders at 480p and HD at 720p, so faces and clothes come out sharper in HD, which shows most when each dancer comes up close. The pack you buy sets it, and if you have both, HD is used first.
What happens to our photos and the video?
Your photos exist for one job, making your video. They stay with that video in My videos, where you can see which photo took which place, and they are deleted when you delete the video. A photo you add and never use is erased within a day. Your video is private: it appears on this site only if you share it, and none of it trains any model.
Your trio, front and center
A few photos and a few minutes to your own Chipmunks Dance. Nobody has to rehearse.
